Calling all DIY experts!
If you’re comfortable having meltdowns on camera and have a knack for putting things together, now’s your time to shine because The Block is casting for 2025.
On September 18, the show’s official Instagram account announced that casting for the 21st season, which will be set in Victoria’s Daylesford, has already commenced, with host Scott Cam promising it’s “gonna be big”.
Even if you’ve applied (and been rejected) in the past, you still have a chance to shoot to Z-list status because the show is copping a new casting director, so past applicants will get the chance to be seen through “fresh eyes”.

If you’ve always dreamed of having your name printed on the So Dramatic! website and starring on national telly, here’s how you can apply for The Block 2025!
How to apply for The Block 2025
To apply for the biggest renovation show in the country (sorry Dream Home), all you gotta do is follow the instructions on the application page before midnight on November 4.
However, if you want to join the cast for the 2025 season, you must be available for a 12-week shoot from February 2025, and you won’t be able to work your regular jobs throughout the shoot period.
Having previous reno experience will give you an advantage, but even total beginners are welcome to apply.
According to the instructions, the application process is rather lengthy and requires “time and attention.” But it will all be worth it when the brand deals start rolling in!
If you’re keen to take on the ultimate renovation challenge on The Block 2025, apply here.
