Participants are renovating a resort in Phillip Island, two-hours out of Melbourne’s CBD.
An insider has revealed where The Block 2024 cast is getting supplies for their Phillip Island build.
This year, the Blockheads are renovating a resort in Cowes, a two-hour drive from Melbourne’s CBD. However, there aren’t many places to shop for furniture and supplies around the filming location.
As revealed in episode 408 of the So Dramatic! podcast, one Phillip Island local shed some light on the lengthy process of procuring supplies for the renovation show.

“There isn’t much in Phillip Island in terms of shopping and supplies,” they said.
“The closest place to shop would be Wonthaggi, which is 30 to 40 minutes away from Cowes, where the resort is located. They have furniture shops and a Bunnings there.”
Otherwise, the participants would have to catch a car ferry to Sorrento and drive 1.5 hours to Melbourne CBD.
“The ferry only leaves three to five times a day, so they’d have to time it well,” the source added.
Another local told So Dramatic! that contestants have been “purchasing items from local traders where they can”.
Another spy revealed that the cast has also been purchasing items from local traders “where they can”.
And there you have it, folks!
