Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Denzel Perryman has compared Jim Harbaugh to popular comedian and actor Will Ferrell at the risk of getting into trouble.

Harbaugh, who took over as the Chargers’ new head coach this offseason after leading Michigan to a national title in January, should have been one of the people who roasted Tom Brady during his recent Netflix event.

It would have made sense, given that Brady went to Michigan and, according to Perryman, he gives off Ferrell vibes.

It turns out that both men were at said roast. Harbaugh was in attendance while Ferrell took to the stage as his iconic Ron Burgandy character from the movie ‘Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy.’

Speaking on Monday, Perryman told reporters that Harbaugh reminds him of the award-winning actor. Harbaugh is known for his sense of humor but is serious about winning football games, and it hasn’t taken him long to make an impression on the former Pro Bowler.

“I hope I don’t get in trouble for this, but he reminds me of Will Ferrell,” the 31-year-old said, per ESPN. “I don’t know if it’s the way that he speaks, his analogies and everything, but they really remind me of Will Ferrell.”

Jim Harbaugh Is Which Version of Will Ferrell?

When asked which version of Will Ferrell Harbaugh he reminds him of, Denzel Perryman said the coach was probably closest to the comedian’s character in ‘Step Brothers.’ He also joked that he could be the one from ‘Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.’

Perryman, who returned to the Chargers in March after stints with the Las Vegas Raiders and Houston Texans, said he hadn’t mentioned this to the coach but figured he would hear about them and have a word with him at practice this Tuesday.

While he thinks Harbaugh is a goofball, Perryman insists he takes his new coach seriously.

“I don’t know if it’s his tone of voice or the way he talks in general, but the first thing that comes to mind is Will Ferrell,” he added. “I mean, I do take him seriously. I take everything he says seriously, though. But when he does joke around, I start cracking up in my seat.”
