The new format is one of two seasons to grace our screens next year.
It’s been revealed that some “big names” will be returning to star in the highly anticipated Australian Survivor 2025 season dubbed Australia vs USA.
ICYMI: In early 2024, it was reported that Channel Ten is pumping a ton of cash into the Survivor franchise and will produce not one but two seasons set to air next year.
An industry insider told Yahoo Lifestyle at the time that the “epic” new instalments will “put Australian producers on the map globally”.

Now, @realitytv_fan — an Instagram page known for leaking tea about upcoming shows — has shared an update that will thrill even the most casual of Survivor viewers!
When asked about Australia vs. the USA during a Q&A, the user revealed that it “films next month.”
What’s more, is that fans should “expect actual big names” to compete.
“They’re not casting just anybody,” they dished. “A lot of winners and legends in the mix.”
Now, this checks out, considering Yahoo Lifestyle‘s source said icons David Genat and George Mladenov are set to appear!
They also said this fact “may feel like a waste” considering the season is touted to take place over a mere few weeks.

Rumours swirl that Australian Survivor 2025: Australia vs USA theme may have changed
@realitytv_fan’s update comes after they shared in June that rumours were swirling online that the Australia vs USA theme faced a change.
“Australian Survivor v America is now rumoured to be Australian Survivor vs the World with contestants from South Africa, UK and New Zealand in the mix to compete,” they penned.
“The season is also rumoured to be 15 days with 14 castaways filming in September.”
The additional Australian Survivor 2025 season’s theme is Brains vs. Brawn II, and it will feature “newbie players.”
“The casting is complete, and there are no returning players or familiar faces,” a source told Yahoo Lifestyle.
“A few sports and former reality TV personalities were in the mix. But have been told they are out as Beverley McGarvey (the president of Ten) specified she wanted fresh faces.”
Bring it on!
