Chrishell Stause has been announced as the host of popular Australian dating show Love Triangle’s first ever reunion special.

The Selling Sunset star, 43, will delve into all the drama from the upcoming third season of the ‘throuple’ dating program in her exciting new role.

With filming already underway, Chrishell will probe the participants on the drama from the third series in a special which will air after the show returns to Stan in 2025.

The show, which sees participants form connections only for a third suitor to be added into their union, has never had a reunion before.

Chrishell is no stranger to the explosive drama and bombshell revelations on a reality show’s reunion show, having featured in Selling Sunset’s reunions firsthand.

She told Daily Mail Australia of the role: ‘I’m so excited to jump into this role, it felt a lot more comfortable being in the host seat not the hot seat!

‘I was so excited because I’m normally such a fan and viewer of these types of shows so it was really nice to be able to ask exactly what I wanted to ask.

‘Normally, I’m on the TV yelling at my screen, so it was nice.’

She added in a press release: ‘I know firsthand the drama that goes on both on and off camera in an unscripted series.

‘There is so much that happens behind the scenes that audiences don’t get to witness so I’m here to draw out those stories and encourage the cast to speak their truth and share their feelings.

‘I’m also not afraid to hold people accountable to their actions – so get ready, it’s going to be one epic reunion!’

The show will follow five singles as they attempt to find a more meaningful connection, being matched up blind after only speaking over text message.

After getting to know two singles virtually, they have to pick who they want to date in the real world and move in with them, before seeing each other face-to-face for the first time.

However, the rejected suitor will then also arrive at the share house and their connections are tested to the limits when two become three.

Chrishell said she was attracted to the show’s concept after finding her ‘soulmate’, her Australian spouse G Flip, after throwing her own dating constrictions away.

‘I love the idea of getting out of our heads and getting out of our boxes. I’m definitely all for people falling in love with the person,’ she shared.

‘I don’t think that it really matters how tall someone is, what colour hair someone has, personally I don’t care what gender someone is!

‘The perfect person is from a point of view of, if you went by exactly what you think you want, you might miss the best catch that there ever was for you.

‘In throwing all that out of the window, I found my soulmate.’

Chrishell first confirmed her romance with G Flip – who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns – on the Selling Sunset reunion in May 2022, but the pair first met back in October 2021.

The couple then tied the knot in a secret Las Vegas wedding in May 2023 and had another ceremony in Melbourne in September for musician G Flip’s Australian family and friends.

The previous series of Love Triangle, which is created by the same producers of MAFS, included bombshells from secret girlfriends to cheating scandals.

The fan favourite groom, whose identity has not been revealed, is ready to stir the pot once more in what promises to be the most explosive season yet.

In a groundbreaking first for the Stan dating show, the third season will also feature a same-sex couple.

Originally launched in 2022, the Australian series has since become an international sensation, with its format sold to multiple overseas territories.

UK broadcaster Channel 4 commissioned a local version for their channel E4, where it’s also available to stream on Stan.

Cailah Scobie, Chief Content Officer at Stan, expressed her excitement about the show’s success and upcoming season.

‘Love Triangle has solidified its status as a must-watch reality dating series, delving into the intricacies of modern relationships,’ she said.

‘As a globally recognised format, Love Triangle has been immensely successful, and we eagerly anticipate introducing audiences to a new group of singles in season three.’
