Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Jack Dunkley has released a statement about taking legal action against his ex-girlfriend Courtney.

It was revealed that on March 7, Jack was granted a temporary protection order against his former partner — who has been increasingly vocal about their messy relationship in recent months — prohibiting her from “approach[ing] or remain[ing] within 100 metres” of him.

Courtney also must not contact Jack or make “adverse comments about him online”.

Per Daily Mail Australia, court documents confirm a hearing for the application has been adjourned until April 18.

Jack has since addressed his decision to pursue legal action against Courtney in a statement provided to the media.

Married at First Sight‘s Jack says he has ‘over 5,000 receipts worth’ of proof of harassment

“From the day I ended the relationship I was verbally harassed and abused via text messages, phone calls, voicemails and emails,” the 34-year-old said. “Over 5,000 receipts worth.

“Post filming… the severity of the communications I was receiving from Courtney only intensified.”

He added:  “I had only known Courtney for three-four months, from our very first encounter to the day I ended our relationship.

“Given the nature of the unrelentless [sic] communication and trolling online I deemed it necessary to seek advice and file for a protection order for myself and my loved ones.”

Jack concluded: “This is the first and final comment regarding this issue. My family and I wish Courtney all the best on her journey of self-discovery.”
