TV personality Samantha Armytage has confirmed she’ll be hosting The Golden Bachelor Australia after jumping ship to Channel Nine.

In August, Samantha announced her decision to leave Channel Seven after 20 years, and in September, rumours began to swirl that she’d be the perfect host for Nine’s Bachelor spin-off.

After hinting she’d landed the role during an interview with The Daily Telegraph, the 48-year-old finally announced her new hosting gig on Nine’s official Instagram page.

“I’m Samantha, a new face to the network, and I’m very excited to tell you that in 2025, I’ll be hosting a brand new heartwarming show, The Golden Bachelor,” she beamed.

“We’re looking for a Golden Man and the women who hope to win his heart. Casting is open now.”

The former Farmer Wants a Wife host urged netizens to “give family members a nudge” and get them “on board” because the show is all about “finding true love for those who have lost love” or are after a second chance. Aww!

What else do we know about The Golden Bachelor Australia?

The Bachelor for single seniors was first introduced in the US in 2023. It followed Gerry Turner, 72, on his quest for love and won over the hearts of American reality TV fans.

And now, Australia’s very own rendition of the hit show will be coming to Nine in 2025. Woohoo!

And it’s a far cry from the OG version of the show. In November 2023, the Daily Mail revealed that The Golden Bachelor would move away from the drama the OG franchise is famous for.

“They’re setting the stage for a show that’s less about high-drama antics and more about genuine connection and companionship,” one insider dished. Finally!
