Hot on the heels of the finale of The Block, judge Darren Palmer has unveiled his latest project.

Darren, who critiques the contestants work alongside Marty Fox and Shayna Blaze, has been busy working with Queensland charity yourtown to style the interior of a stunning prize home valued at $5.6 million.

The gorgeous abode is located in the picturesque Tallebudgera Valley in Queensland and is the first prize in the charity’s 2024 Christmas Prize Home raffle.

Speaking to the Courier Mail, Darren revealed he first partnered with the charity a decade ago and has been helping to style their prize homes ever since.

‘We made quite a lot of money to help the charity, and that makes me feel pretty good,’ he told the publication.

‘And every year we’ve done one, we’ve done something new and different and interesting. And every single year, I think the one that I’ve done that year is the best one.’

He added that his job was to style the home into something the eventual winner could move into right away.

‘Every single piece of furniture, art, cushion, décor and everything else that anybody’s going to need, I put into the house,’ he added.

The gourmet kitchen is complete with a butler’s pantry and Elysian white stone benches.

There’s also no shortage of activities on site to keep potential owners occupied, with the home also boasting a circular heated pool, sauna, ice bath and spa.

It’s also an entertainer’s delight with an expansive alfresco area with outdoor kitchen and wood fireplace that faces stunning vistas.

If that wasn’t enough to make you want to buy a ticket in the raffle drawn on December 20, there are plenty of other goodies on offer, including $100,000 in gold bullion and $226,195 worth of furniture and electrical appliances.

A ride-on mower is also on offer, as well as a year of council rates and water and 12 months of home and contents insurance.

Darren showed the Blockheads how it’s done back in August when he listed his $2.98million renovated Bondi Beach home for sale.

When Darren purchased the property in the mid-2010s, the home had already been risen to two-levels before the author forged ahead with his own renovation plans.

Darren collaborated with architect John Deuchrass and construction company Taste Living to completely rebuild the home after he bought it.

‘The poor old house has a lot to be improved upon. I spent years imagining what it might be when it was completely done,’ Darren told Domain.

Meanwhile, Maddy and Charlotte Harry become the youngest-ever auction winners of The Block over the weekend, taking home an eye-watering $1.65million profit on Sunday night’s nail-biting finale.

The sisters, who were latecomers to the 2024 series, secured the highest bid on the day, with their renovated Phillip Island property selling for $3.5million.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home – that was set with a $1.85million reserve – was purchased by bidder Adrian ‘Mr Lambo’ Portelli.

The billionaire Block regular also purchased the other four properties on the night, spending a total of $15.03million.

‘We are just so grateful, and it’s a very surreal feeling,’ said Maddy of their win.

‘You can’t anticipate how something like The Block will end, but it is the perfect ending for us.
