The alleged incident occurred during the 2021 season.
A former The Block tradesman who claims he was electrocuted on the show has launched legal action against Channel Nine.
Melbourne-based electrician Leigh Roberts is suing the network after he was reportedly injured while working on Tanya and Vito Guccione‘s House Three during the 2021 season.
It is not alleged that The Block contestants were involved in the incident, nor are they named in court filings.

In a general endorsement of the claim lodged in the County Court of Victoria on March 13, Leigh was noted to be working as a contractor on The Block.
He was allegedly electrocuted on or around March 2021, per the Herald Sun.
The electrician claims in the court document that his injury resulted in stress, anxiety and depression.
The document also detailed that Leigh has sustained injury, loss and damage as a result of Nine’s breach of duty. As such, he’s seeking damages and loss.
The Block tradie reportedly has ‘not been able to work properly’ since the accident
Leigh, who is being represented by Carbone Lawyers’ managing partner Tony Carbone, had reportedly been working in the basement of House Three when he was electrocuted plugging in a lead.
Per his lawyer, the tradie was taken to hospital after the incident before being released.
While he returned to work a day later, Leigh’s lawyer said his client was taken to the emergency room after suffering heart palpitations two days later.
“He has not been able to work properly since,” Tony said. “It is like he has had a change in his physiology. His friends tell him he is not the same person.
“From my perspective, this should not happen on any job site, let alone a high-profile TV show like The Block.”
The Herald Sun reported that Nine declined to comment on the matter.
News of Leigh’s alleged incident comes after insiders revealed who the upcoming The Block 2024 “villains” will be.
