James Harden, the Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard, has recently revealed his pick for the greatest of all time (GOAT) player. While many analysts and players have selected Michael Jordan and LeBron James as their picks, The Beard has different opinions on the topic. Cyro Asseo de Choch of HoopsHype asked the Clippers‘ star player about his pick for the GOAT debate. Harden replied that Kobe Bryant was
the one who made him fall in love with basketball.
“There was only one person who made me love, I mean fall in love with the game, and that’s Kobe Bryant,” Harden said.
James Harden was always a fan of Kobe Bryant and the Lakers
“Being from LA and being a Lakers fan watching him grow up and win several championships and his passion and love and what he did for the game of basketball, I think the world, you know, feels the same way, but that’s why I started playing basketball,” Harden added.
Harden also mentioned that he acquired many skills from Kobe and fell in love with the game because of him.
“The skill set and things that I’ve learned, I kind of picked up on my own, but as far as falling in love with the game, it’s definitely been Kobe.” Harden continued.
Recently, an NBA analyst discussed Harden’s struggles during the Playoffs. He mentioned that in half of Harden’s postseason games, he faced guys who had won championships. In addition, he faced teams headed to the playoffs in 67% of his postseason games.
