Aaron Rodgers is somewhere. And, as far as we know, it’s not where he should be as he’s supposed to be at the New York Jets minicamp, where he isn’t.

The quarterback skipped the team event and is the only starter in his position to have done so this offseason despite playing just a few minutes in 2023.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh revealed the veteran QB had prior commitments and took an “unexcused” leave of absence to make himself available for whatever it is. And everyone’s wondering what could be so important.

FS1’s Colin Cowherd apparently has the scoop but doesn’t want to give everything away for fear of burning his source. However, he has revealed that the player is on an overseas vacation.

“I was told last night from a source I trust: Aaron’s on vacation, and it’s overseas,” Cowherd said on Wednesday.

The analyst has indicated that Rodgers cannot keep his location under wraps much longer, so everyone else will know by tomorrow.

“I’m also told you’ll learn about where he’s at tomorrow. Don’t want to burn my souce — I’m told you’ll learn about it tomorrow,” he continued. “Maybe he is at an event, can’t believe there’s something overseas that would take 7, 8, 9 days — again, maybe they have a music festival. But the point is, don’t be surprised by this.

“This is sort of what you would expect. Impulsive owner, new GM, coach with a losing record, prickly, older, at times arrogant, disconnected quarterback.”

Is Aaron Rodgers On The Campaign Trail?

Some fans have hypothesized that the QB could be in California to attend an event presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy is holding in Glendale on Thursday.

Haason Reddick is also skipping minicamp, but he’s doing it as part of a contract holdout, which is typical of players looking to secure new deals. He also never wanted to be traded to the Jets, so he isn’t catching any heat over his absence.

Rodgers, on the other hand, is getting roasted by media outlets in NY.

According to SNY’s Connor Hughes, the Jets were aware of Rodgers’ plans weeks ago as he made them while rehabbing. Still, Saleh was sure to note that the absence was “unexcused,” because a vacation can’t be excused during minicamp.
