LeBron James and his son Bronny James both have the same agent, Rich Paul, who manages their off-court dealings. Following a recent significant disclosure about LeBron’s future, Paul has now unveiled the decision of LeBron’s eldest son concerning his NBA career.
Bronny James will remain in the 2024 NBA Draft and forgo his remaining college eligibility, as Paul told ESPN.
“Bronny’s [draft] range is wide. He’s a really good prospect who has a lot of room for growth. It only takes one team. I don’t care where that team is — it can be No. 1 or 58 — [but] I do care about the plan, the development,” Paul said.
This announcement comes as fans eagerly awaited Bronny’s decision, given that today was the deadline for college players to withdraw from the draft. After playing for Sierra Canyon in Chatsworth, Bronny faced a major setback when he was sidelined for five months following a cardiac episode last July. However, he made a remarkable comeback, debuting for USC.
During the 2023-24 season, Bronny played 25 games for the Trojans, starting in six of them. He averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 0.8 steals across 19.4 minutes per game.
Rich Paul Shuts Down Speculation of LeBron and Bronny James Playing for Same Team
During a recent appearance on “It Is What It Is,” Rich Paul, the agent for both LeBron James and his son Bronny James, addressed the possibility of the two playing together on the same NBA team.
Paul unequivocally dismissed this notion, stating, “No, no. I don’t plan for that.”
Paul further elaborated on the subject in a separate interview with Bleacher Report.
“Well, LeBron said he wanted to play with his son. Bronny can’t do anything about that. And that’s nothing we should push back on. If he wants to play with his son, that’s that. But again, I have a job to do representing Bronny and LeBron,” Paul said.
