The Worldwide leader in sports is in mourning this week after the announcement that longtime employee Darren Dutchyshen had tragically passed away.

Darren Dutchyshen, a valued member of the TSN family and a longtime host of Canadian sports television, passed away on Wednesday. He was only fifty-seven years old.

TSN announced on Thursday morning that Darren Dutchyshen had died:

The broadcaster, who was born in Regina, was a stalwart in Canadian sports media. In 1995, Dutchyshen made his TSN debut as a host of SportsDesk’s weekend shows. He gained the most notoriety throughout the next thirty years as the host of SportsCentre’s late-night shows, which were the network’s main event.

He was described as a “legend of Canadian sports broadcasting, a great teammate, and an essential part of TSN for the last three decades” by Stewart Johnston, senior vice president of sales and sports at Bell Media.
