Kyrie Irving reflects on happy life in Dallas

The Dallas Mavericks are enjoying their post-season ride on the back of Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic’s stunning performances. After winning 2-0 on the road, the Mavs returned home to host the Minnesota Timberwolves for a Game 3 clash on Sunday and entertained the American Airlines Center by snatching a 116-107 win.

Later, while talking about the value the franchise and its fans hold in his life, Irving said in the post-game presser, “I feel like it’s a great chapter that’s being written right now and I’m enjoying every step of the way. I’m not taking anything for granted.”

Irving further confessed, “I’m enjoying the Dallas community and the fans here, you know we talked about this earlier in the season, just how much I felt embraced, but I think it’s gone a little deeper than that. It’s really helped me grow as a human being and find my peace out her.” The 32-year-old concluded by saying, “You know what they say about a happy wife, happy life…”

The talented duo of Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic scored 33 points each on the Mavs scoreboard, along with 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 7 rebounds, 5 assists.

Despite being labeled as the second-best on the team, the former champion willingly boosts his teammates, especially Luka, with his experience and garnered praise for this quality from his former teammate.

Former Teammate Praises Kyrie Irving’s Leadership

Kyrie Irving’s former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate, Kendrick Perkins, commended the Mavs guard for his new role in the franchise, leading his Dallas teammates to their ultimate goal, the championship trophy.

Perkins pointed out, “Kyrie has a personal handshake with the whole organization. His team his leadership. He wants that Chip bad”.

Following the Mavs’ second victory in the series, Irving’s distinct handshake with his fellow teammates and the other members of the organization was revealed through an X post (formerly known as Twitter). This shows the bond he has formed with everyone in the franchise and his personal goal.

Things look brighter for the Mavericks as they have taken a three-game lead. There’s still time for the Timberwolves to bring themselves back on track in the 4 remaining games, and if the Mavs can secure one more victory, they will proceed to the NBA finals.
