The Minnesota Timberwolves staged an incredible comeback in the Western Conference Finals series, winning Game 4 to keep their championship hopes alive. They secured a victory in game four against the Dallas Mavericks with a score of 105-100. After the game, Mike

Conley Jr., the Minnesota point guard, discussed Head Coach Chris Finch’s technical foul for stepping onto the court.

“You forget the impact it can have when your coach is up getting technicals, yelling, and we see him hobble around to do it; it’s impressive. It lit a fire in all of us.” Conley Jr. said.

As the game approached its conclusion in the third quarter, Finch was penalized for a technical foul after reacting aggressively to a critical offensive foul call. Karl-Anthony Towns accidentally elbowed PJ Washington in the face while trying to draw a foul, resulting in his fifth foul. Chris Finch stepped up and knocked out official Scott Foster in the process. With 15 minutes, the head coach was quickly given a technical foul.

Conley Jr. Lauds Edwards and Towns After Game 4 Win

During a press conference after the game, Conley Jr. praised Edwards and Towns for “bringing the excitement back” in the game.

“They have taught me just to be grateful for the joy of this game. Having fun. You play 17 years, you can go into this cycle…and they brought that excitement back.” Conley Jr. said.

Minnesota’s win in Game 4 was a big one, as they were close to sweeping the series. Despite the loss in Game 3, Edwards was confident and stated during a press conference that the team would make a comeback in the series, just as they did in Game 4. He said, “It’s time to make history, bro.”

Conley Jr. and the Timberwolves must dominate Game 5, scheduled for Wednesday at Target Center, to stay in the series. Minnesota must win the next three games to advance to the NBA Finals.
