LeBron James sitting courtside at Celtics-Cavaliers game

LeBron James was in the house for the Game 4 showdown between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics on Monday night.

With the Los Angeles Lakers not in the playoffs, LeBron was a spectator at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. And it appears his presence was enough to get the Cavs to put up a fight with Donovan Mitchell out, as they kept scores close for most of the game.

The four-time NBA champion can become a free agent by opting out of his deal with the Lakers. And that he was courtside for Monday’s fixture is sure to spark speculation over his future.

LeBron had two spells in Cleveland and led the Cavaliers to their only NBA championship in 2016 before signing with the Lakers two years later.

The superstar veteran still has a home near his hometown of Akron and has returned to Cleveland on several occasions since his departure in 2018, but Monday night was the first time he attended a Cavs game since he left. And he received a standing ovation.

Social media quickly noticed what he had under his seat while he sat courtside between his wife Savannah and agent Rich Paul.
