After the Los Angeles Sparks picked Cameron Brink with the #2 choice in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Brink was ecstatic.

But she quickly came to understand that the hardships of living in the city and playing for LA are entirely different. Brink discovered that the cost of living in LA is too costly as she began her professional basketball career.

The Sparks forward opened out about the expensive rent in the City of Angels during a giggly visit on “Podcast P with Paul George.”

Although she acknowledged that the “food” and “people” in Los Angeles are excellent, the incredible rookie focused on how the WNBA’s player housing program allowed her to avoid the sky-high cost of living in the city.

She said,

“So we have like player housing, they subsidize for us. It’s nice because rent is too expensive,”

Then, during her brief sojourn in Los Angeles, PG-13 questioned Brink about her “favorite spot.” The 22-year-old disclosed that “Playa Provisions,” a coastal eatery, has had a profound influence on her. She said,

“We are there today, my mom over there. It’s called Playa Provisions. It’s so good, the best fish tacos.”

The novice also disclosed that, when it comes to tacos, she is an epicure, thus the seashore eatery was a perfect fit for her. The Stanford alum says she has “loved” her time in Los Angeles overall and is impressed by the city’s fashion choices.

Her relationships with her LA Sparks colleagues, especially 6’3″ center Dearica Hamby, have made her feel more at ease even though she is enjoying her time in the city.
