“I would describe the modern man as a wet fish.”
The first trailer for Married at First Sight Australia 2025 has been unveiled, and we’ve already gotten whiplash from all the chaos!
Ahead of its early 2025 premiere, Channel Nine shared a teaser of the 12th season of the marriage experiment at their annual Upfronts event on October 24.
According to the Daily Mail, the network has promised the latest instalment would feature never-before-seen scenarios. And don’t they say this every season?

The trailer begins with bride Lauren Hall (A.K.A. 2024 groom Jonathan McCullough‘s ex) declaring she’s got a “resting b*tch face”.
However, she quickly made it known that she “doesn’t care” what people think of her before admitting: “I would describe the modern man as a wet fish.” LOL!
In another snippet, mother-of-one Awhina Rutene spoke her truth at a dinner party.
“My walls are up; I’m protecting my heart,” she told her co-stars.
And it seems like the brides are the ones to watch, with the trailer also honing in on Jamie Marinos.
The participant confessed to feeling as if she “bamboozled” her new husband, Dave Thomas, after bombarding him with question after question.

“Do you go to Pilates? Do you go to raves? What siblings do you have? Do you go out much?” she is seen asking him.
Jamie told the camera: “I think Dave is thinking, ‘I hit the jackpot’. He seems to like it.”
What else do we know about Married at First Sight 2025?
While MAFS 2025 is still a few months away if the show’s typical late January premiere stands firm, a sh*t-ton of tea has already been spilled from the set.
In one bombshell twist, one pair — Jeff Gobbels and Rhi Disljenovic — were “accidentally” matched after dating IRL before the show.

Meanwhile, bride Jamie revealed at an intruder wedding that she’d slept with newcomer groom (and Big Brother star) Teejay Halkias, making for a VERY awkward sit-down meal.
So, it’s safe to say MAFS is ready to knock our socks off again—and we can’t wait!
