Married at First Sight Australia 2024
‘s Sara Mesa has hit back at her TV hubby Tim Calwell after he indirectly called her a “b*tch” on social media.

Despite hard-launching his new bae, Barbara Griebeler, in April, the former groom has been shading his “toxic relationship” with Sara ever since at any chance he can get.

On July 7, Tim posted a life updates Reel, where he showed a car with a bumper sticker that read: “WARNING: 100 per cent B*TCH”.

In the voiceover, he joked, “This car reminded me of someone,” which people interpreted to be a dig at Sara.

Later that day, Sara took to Instagram to call out Tim’s “petty” video.

“Imagine being out of a relationship for months. And [having] a new girlfriend who [you’re] supposedly happy with because she’s a real queen,” the nutritionist started.

“But still thinking about me, still including me in your reels, still including me in comments and making petty subliminal messages about me. You’re not over it. Time to move on, sweetie, because I have.” Burn!

The 29-year-old also shaded Tim for mentioning her in a clip where he was also sharing “cute activities” he was doing with his girlfriend.

“I hope she’s okay with you mentioning me, regardless of whether it’s calling me 100 per cent b*tch. Don’t you think it’s time to move on and give her that respect?” she clapped back. Ooft!

Married at First Sight‘s Sara Mesa says Tim Calwell must be ‘UNHAPPY’ in his new relationship

Sara also implied that Tim wasn’t happy in his new relationship because he kept bringing up the past.

“I’ve always found that the most happy relationships are the ones that are kept under wraps,” she said. “You’re continuously trying to convince everyone about how amazing she is and how happy you are.

“But it sounds like you’re trying to convince yourself because if you were really happy, you wouldn’t have included me in [those videos].” Yikes!

Sara then said that she’d be “livid” if her partner made “subliminal digs at his ex-girlfriend” in a video he posted of her.

Married at First Sight‘s Sara says Tim’s Reel shows who he ‘really’ is

Sara then “prided herself” on “not speaking badly” about her cast mates because filming was a “traumatic experience”.

“But it’s nice to see people showing their true colours on social media because we can no longer hide behind edits,” she said.

“The Reel Tim made is giving insecure, and that’s the man he showed me the whole time on the show. I wish people could have seen that side. But unfortunately, that’s not the edit he got.

“Instead of it being ‘Sara’s so scary and intimidating’, maybe people would’ve resonated with me knowing there was a side to Tim that was incredibly insecure.”

Married at First Sight’s Lauren Dunn weighs in on Tim Calwell’s snarky reel

Sara’s on-screen-turned-IRL bestie Lauren Dunn also weighed in on Tim’s catty Reel.

“I was a bit shocked because the Reel seems to be about his love for his new girlfriend,” Lauren told her Instagram followers. “If I were her, I’d be hurt that he’s still referencing his ex.”

Lauren then roasted Tim for speaking about women in a derogatory way.

“Do these men not get it? We don’t call women b*tches in 2024. We also don’t do it on the internet, where it lives forever.” Period!

Married at First Sight stars DEFEND Tim after Sara called him out

2024 bride Eden Harper took to the comments section of the So Dramatic! podcast Instagram page to defend Tim after Sara dragged him.

“So Sara can call [Cassandra Allen] a c*nt, Lauren can call [Jonathan McCullough] a snake, dog, c*nt (to name a few). But it’s funny and light-hearted.

“It’s only unacceptable and wrong when Tim does it? The double standards are laughable,” she penned.

Michael Felix agreed with Eden, writing: “Say it louder for the people in the back”.

Tim also clapped back at Sara, commenting: “Hahaha, I wonder who spent more energy here.”

Jonathan backed Tim up, leaving a laughing emoji under his comment.

However, Sara responded: “I’ll continue to put energy into calling out bad behaviour.

“You don’t call females b*tches, and you should give your girlfriend the respect she deserves by not taking a dig at me in your videos or mentioning an ex at all in a video meant to be cute with her.

“The internalised misogyny and fragile masculinity this is giving is beyond.”
