According to Yahoo! Lifestyle, Survivor is on track to becoming Channel Ten’s “new flagship program,” with “two massive seasons” set to come out next year. Woo!
An industry insider told the outlet that the network was “putting all of its coin into the Survivor franchise“, and the two “epic” seasons will “put Australian producers on the map globally”.

“The last three seasons have been better than any other season of Survivor globally, and Network Ten wants to be the biggest and the best franchise in the world,” the source explained. And those are some BIG goals!
Both seasons will be filmed back-to-back and “simultaneously screened” in Australia and America.
This comes after it was announced that The Bachelor and The Masked Singer wouldn’t be returning in 2024.
What are the themes of Survivor Australia 2025?
The first season is titled “Brains vs. Brawn II”, and will feature a group of “newbie players”.
“The casting is complete, and there are no returning players or familiar faces,” the source said.
“A few sports and former reality TV personalities were in the mix, but have been told they are out as Beverley McGarvey (the president of Ten) specified she wanted fresh faces.”
The second season’s theme is Australia vs USA, and it’s said to be an “all-stars showdown”. Yass!

Ten is reportedly keen to bring back Luke Toki, as he could “win [the show] for Australia”. However, the source explained that there are a “few problematic reasons for him not being asked back”.
Three-time star Shonee Bowtell is also set to return, as well as Samantha Gash, Kirby Bentley and Simon Mee.
“While Feras Basal is missing from the list, he’s desperately hoping someone will drop out to get onto the hottest lineup in Survivor history,” the source added.
Meanwhile, Jonny Fairplay and Parvati Shallow are tipped to play for the US.
Where is Survivor Australia 2025 being filmed?
Per Yahoo! Lifestyle, both seasons of the hit reality show will be filmed in Fiji.
The Brains vs. Brawn season will be shot over 48 days, while the Australia vs. USA season will be shot over 28 days.
The first series will finish filming in August 2024 and the second will be filmed in September. They’ll both be aired on Channel Ten in different quarters of 2025.
Who is the host of Survivor Australia 2025?
Jonathan LaPaglia, who’s been fronting the show since its revival in 2016, will be hosting both seasons of the hit reality show.
“The network loves him, and rightfully so,” the insider told Yahoo! Lifestyle.
